My boys will be receiving their First Communion this weekend.  They've been going to CCD classes once a week for the past 2 years to get to this point.  I'm very proud of them.  We aren't the most consistent church goers and to be honest with you, just the idea of taking Joshua (who has ants in his pants) makes my head hurt, but we talk a lot and I share my faith with my boys.  I love being Catholic even though I don't attend Mass as much as should and I fully intend to continue raising my boys in my faith.  For now, it's been such a blessing to see them really embrace it and look forward to Sunday School every week.  I love the discussions we have, the questions they ask and the absolute open mind each one of them has when we discuss other religions.  We're celerating big with a house full of friends and family.  Grammy is here with us and Papi will be here not too long afterwards.  Our family is so blessed.  Blessed to have each other. Mountain Man Rendezvous

Test, test, yup...camera working...  I love that I get to take pics of Brandon all in the name of testing my camera settings.  :)  He sure is handsome - smile or not!  We drove up to Nocona to pick up Bryan and to help tear stuff down to bring back to town.  The troop worked really hard to be able to work this fundraising opportunity and I think they did an excellent job.  The boys that were able, volunteered to work the event in 2 day shifts for the whole of Spring Break.  The Mountain Man Rendezvous is a period reenactment of a gathering of people to sell their wares.  The rules are very strict - the boys had to be dressed in clothes that represented time pre-1840, the tools they used had to be from pre-1840 and so did their tents.  Bryan enjoyed himself and learned a lot.  I really enjoyed walking around and taking photos and Brandon enjoyed the drive and the time we got alone to just talk.  I think next year will be even better!

The Snake Man

Joshua loves to learn about animals.  The tougher the animal, the better.  He really likes to learn about snakes, but having them live and in person, made him a tad nervous and VERY excited!  He didn't quite want to be in the front row... just in case, but he didn't want to be too far from the action either.  Smart Boy!  I think Brandon enjoyed the show just as much as Joshua! I love that nervous smile!  I love that he pet the snakes even though he wasn't totally comfortable with it!
