My Chaos -

OK, so I'm tired now! I just caught up on posting all the daily pics I've been taking since the 2nd!! I still have to take my pic for tonight, but I already have an idea in mind. You'll just have to wait and see. Maybe I will have enough energy to get back online later and post it, but don't hold your breath! LOL!

Day 49 - Soooo..... over the weekend we received our new dish receivers and DVR. OK, so I have avoided this up till this point thinking that if we got a DVR Brandon would be parked in front of the TV all the time catching up on the shows he doesn't get to watch. Nope...he isn't the one with the problem. IT'S ME!!! I love this thing! Although I haven't recorded anything, I love pausing live TV and skipping commercials!!! I have an illness!

Day 48 - I got to scrapbook today! I only finished a couple of pages though. My heart wasn't entirely in it since I was going back and forth between playing and looking at job listings. I liked the pages I did do though. I used the new goodies I bought at Gotta Scrap the other day.

Day 47 - I gave Brandon an iPod Nano for our anniversary. He had me load all the music from my collection that he likes, all of the Alex Cross books and most special of all.... The chunky song from Madagascar 2. OK - this makes me laugh every time I think of it! We all watched Madagascar 2 together once it came out on DVD and there is a part where Motomoto (a male hippo) comes strutting out of water to hit on Gloria (the hippo from NY) and he is singing this song while cocking his head back and forth. I thought it was funny, but nowhere NEAR as funny as my husband imitating Motomoto's performance singing "I like them big, I like them chunky, I like the round and something, something" LMAO !!! P.S. Day 46 - As an anniversary gift Brandon took me to Gotta Scrap in Rockwall to pick up a couple new goodies. I wasn't in the mood at first but since he twisted my arm!!! LOL! I really like this place. It's owned by 2 sisters and they are SUPER sweet women - if you're ever in the area give them your business, you won't regret it!

Day 45 - Happy 11 th Anniversary to us! It was a little hard to celebrate given yesterdays events, but Brandon has been wonderful about the whole thing. He has consistently reminded me not to worry, we've been through this before and we will works things out. I sure do love him for that!

Day 44 - HAPPY FRIGGIN FRIDAY THE 13TH!!! Today was not pleasant on any level. My entire group at work was told today that we are being laid of on March 20 th . Our VP flew in to do the deed himself (I did feel kind of bad for him; he seemed to be genuinely upset about it) and it was DEAD SILENCE in a room filled with the people I have seen more of during the week than I have my own family (and usually much louder when all together). No one could speak after it was done and we all pretty much went home for the day after that fun morning meeting. I am trying to be positive and keep my faith that something will come along and my family will be taken care of. It is also somewhat humbling that although I am freaking out a bit, there are other people that were also laid off that are in much more of a crisis that I am. I am praying that all of us find something soon.

Day 43 - The carnival is here - just popped up overnight in the parking lot of Sears (weird). The boys were not impressed with my refusal to go and let them partake of the rides that get put up and torn down over and over again and that I totally do NOT trust. NO WAY MAN! I have to say that it never did seem to get busy there - is that because everyone is watching their pennies these days?

Day 42 - He looks like such a little old man back there with his drink and his magazine! He was looking through his magazine that HE bought so intently - he really studied each and every page!

Day 41 - It's been a dreary day. It rained all day and we never saw the sun.

Day 40 - This picture totally sucks since it's really blurry! I still want to use it though since I love seeing Brandon and Bryan spending time together. They often spend time butting heads since they are SOOOO much alike!

Day 39 - Do I really need to say anything other than I ADORE kisses from my babies?

Day 38 - It is HILARIOUS watching Joshua play the Wii. Even on games that don't really require a whole lot of movement, he is up jumping around and going to through the live motions. Here he's playing "The Force Unleashed" and he is pretty impressive. He loves being the bad guy!

Day 37 - I have a deal with Bryan that we trade reading minutes for video game minutes. He's been fighting me on reading "The Lightning Thief", but I think if he would just give it a chance he would really enjoy the story of the son of Zeus set in modern times.

Day 36 - this page has been sitting on my desk for awhile and I finally finished it. Not the most elaborate, but I like it still. I love big photos!

Day 35 - The Lego king at work again. Betcha didn't know building stuff with Legos required standing on a chair... He was testing the tow line on the semi tow truck he is currently working on.

Day 34 - this photo cracks me up! I always check on the boys on my way to bed. I usually find Joshua defiantly refusing to go to sleep, but Bryan is usually burried under a pile of blankets, stuffed animals and pillows! Somewhere in the pile on the other side of the cracked door is my child sleeping. Oh and by the way.... I LOVE that with his new bed I can actually see him in there instead of getting paranoid and climing the bunk bed ladder to poke around the blankets to make sure he is still there.

Yeah! I got off my lazy butt and walked today! I had no sodas today and I even stretched and did crunches! YEAH ME! Sorry, I know that doesn't sound like a challenge, but it was a big accomplishment for me - can't wait to do it again tomorrow!

Day 33 - not the best picture, but look how it mocks me! Right next to my bed, so that every night I look at it and say "Maybe I should have walked today..."

Day 32 - Movie junkies - that's what we are and proud of it baby!!! By the way... My Best Friend's Girl.... oh so wrong, yet so funny!

Day 31 - I know this is a bad picture, but I just love it! Look at that smile!! He still sounds like a frog, but he is doing WAY better than he was just on Wednesday! And what beats gummy lifesavers in the mind of 5 year old??? (other than the Wii that is)

Day 30 - I have scrapbooking, he has his pc games - what a NERD! Enough said! ;)

Day 29 - I LOVE Target!!! I love that I can go in and get ANYTHING! Groceries, clothes, movies, Starbucks... it's a dangerous place and man, does it cause problems that it is TWO minutes away from my house!

Day 28 - Eating in bed is normally off limits in our house... But I really wanted some time in my scrap room and the boys were glued to me since they weren't totally over the flu... just this one time....at least they were finally eating again....

Day 27 - It completely breaks my heart to see my baby suffering. He was so miserable with the stinkin flu! This is where he pretty much camped out all week!

Day 26 - This makes me feel great! I love scrapbooking and would probably do it no matter what, but I love that my kids enjoy looking through our albums - makes me feel like the fact that I enjoy it is just a bonus!

Day 25 - Little boys LOVE video games and I swear they are born with the coordination and knowledge to play them well. My 5 year old can kick butt at any Lego Wii game or Transformers on the PS2!

Day 24 - I was only able to chat a little bit for the rest of the vitual crop since I started feeling sick. I had been feeling a little pukish for most of the week, but it just got worse on Saturday and I ended up laying down for the remainder of the weekend.

Day 23 - I chose to put all 4 pages that I completed this Friday night. Progress - YEAH! My scrapping mojo has been missing lately and a Virtual Crop hosted by www.scrapvillage.com is just what I needed to get going again.

I haven't been posting, but I have been taking pics daily. I'm going to try to catch up tonight. The boys have had the flu for the past week, so it's been kind of hard to summon the energy to do anything other than care for them. The flu = lots of medicine, soup and cuddle time.
