52 Weeks of Walking - Week 5 (August 4th, 2013)


Week 4 Results:

Sunday: 15 min Actual  Off - Kind of wish I hadn't taken the say off...again...  4816 daily steps.
Monday: 20 min 
Actual  1st Walk: 30 min / 1192 steps,8780 daily steps. (I did go bowling though)
Tuesday: 15 min 
Actual 1st Walk: 45 min / 4011 steps, 10223 daily steps.
Wednesday: 10 min 
Actual 1st Walk: 60 min / 5993 steps,11041 daily steps.
Thursday: 25 min 
Actual 60 min / 4045 steps, 8284 daily steps.
Friday: off 
Actual  1st Walk: 30 min / 3108 steps, 7513 daily steps.
Saturday: 30 min 
Actual 60 min / 4030 steps, 9599 daily steps.

Total miles this week: 8.88 miles
Total miles: 52.42 miles

I took Sunday off, but wish I hadn't, yet again.  I suppose it wouldn't bother me to take the day off IF I at least made my daily step goal of 11,000 steps, but good grief...4816 steps.  I am going to be positive about the low numbers last week though since I was off the whole week on vacation and still managed to go on my walks, even if they weren't as long or as many as usual.  It's back to normal this week though, so get ready for some higher numbers...  I need to be careful this week - Saturday is 30 minutes and that is the time of my shortest walk, so need to be sure to get at least that time in that day.

Sunday: 15 min  
Monday: 20 min  
Tuesday:20 min  
Wednesday: 15 min 
Thursday: 25 min
Friday: Off
Saturday: 30 min

Tip for this week:  This week's tip from the author is to add 4 minutes of stretching to your walking routine.  This could be as simple as 3 easy stretches.  One to stretch your calf and hip, one to stretch your back and hamstring and one to stretch your shin and thigh. I will be adding whether or not I stretched to my tracking.  Also, the author suggests stretching after your walk.
