Wind, freezing temps, getting healthy and no time.

 Well, I'm a week into trying to get it together and while I feel like I've been super productive, I also feel like it came at a price.  I feel no sense of peace at all.  It's amazing how your mind can be so FULL for days at a time.  I know I'm not alone in this - plenty of people have more going on that I do, but man, I wish I could turn it off long enough for a moment of peace.   Brandon went to the old house after work on Thursday to start painting the half bath, then we both went after work on Friday and didn't stop until after 9pm, followed by a long drive home.  I went back early on Saturday and he joined me when he got off work.  We finished painting the half bath and the kitchen a neutral color, edged and mowed the lawn and put out some new plants on the front porch.  All in the hope of getting a potential buyer to see what a great house it is.  I hate neutral colors!  After growing up in government housing, I embraced lots ...

I'm baaaack!

 Wow!  It's been a lot longer than I thought since I last updated here.  Life has been busy, hectic, chaotic, exciting, stressful and wonderful.  Mostly, it's been full of change.  I find myself caught somewhere between adapting and struggling to find my footing.  Some changes, were brought on by the normal cycles of life, while others were purposeful, even if a tad insane.   In the four plus years since I last posted here (and maybe even a little before then), I've had one boy earn his Associate Degree and complete HVAC training.  Brandon and I decided that tattooed wedding bands were the way to go after making it through 23 years of marriage.  The other graduated high school and took off on a grand adventure in the military.  He and I went and got tattoos together as well.  I may have a new addiction, despite getting my very first tattoo 27 years ago.  I got another tattoo after loosing 35 pounds - that was my gift to my...
