Birthday Boy

Image
Since when have I been old enough to have a TEN year old? I can't believe it - my baby boy is in the double digits now! He had a sleepover birthday party with just a few of his friends this year. Most of them had fun and they stayed up ALL night playing the Wii. Everyone went home by noon and Bryan crashed HARD!

A First

I am so excited and nervous I have my very first photo shoot (for some one other than myself) for 3 families on Saturday. I am hoping to get some really good shots and have already been making mental notes of some ideas. I need to get them down on paper. My plan is to take tons of photos, take them home and edit and provide some prints and digital files to the 3 families. All three families have babies under 12 months, so a lot of the success depends on them. So, I am adding a prayer in there that all babies (including mine) are happy for the morning. I am really nervous since I am not sure I am quite at the level to do this, but you have to start somewhere right? Here I go...

Blanket Fetish

It's a good thing too since it would be awful if he didn't have enough blankets to create a fort in the middle of his room.

KROMOTE

I love the various words my kids have made up and mispronounced over the years. I really wish I could remember them all and I am trying to document as many as I can. KROMOTE is one that Joshua uses for the REMOTE CONTROL and I just giggle every time he says it. I don't correct him - he will grow out of all his baby words soon enough.

ODE TO COFFEE

OH AND I HAVE TO SHARE... I SAW SOME ONE POST ON WWW.SCRAPVILLAGE.COM THAT THEY FOUND PUMPKIN PIE FLAVORED CREAMER - SO I WENT ON A SEARCH FOR IT AND FOUND IT!!! YEAH!!! I TRIED IT AS SOON AS I GOT HOME AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!

First BIG Sick...

Image
Poor Joshua was so sick at the beginning of September. I am fairly sure that this was the very first time he has ever been really sick! The doc even insisted on having a chest x-ray done since she was concerned that he had pneumonia. He was cruddy, but thank goodness he didn't have pneumonia after all. He did get a prescription for 12 days of antibiotics and by the way... chewable antibiotics for kids are nasty and you cannot force them down a 4 year old's gullet.
