Life is Good!

Image
I am so happy that my parents are out there exploring the world. They recently went on a trip to Slovenia to celebrate their anniversary. I had to share this picture since it is so beautiful!

Our Yearly Fall Photos...

Mesquite Rodeo

Image
Scout Night at the Mesquite Rodeo was a lot of fun! Unfortunately it was the same night that I started to feel REALLY sick, but we stayed for all but the last 30 minutes. The boys had a blast - the rode ponies, Joshua had his face painted and they both HAD to have cowboy hats and have been driving me nutso ever since with "YEEHAW" being yelled at random intervals throughout the house.

Spikes

Image
Joshua is so funny. All of the sudden he wants to have his hair spiked. And he looks so stinkin cute and so much like a big boy. I have a question though - what is it with boys and the whole sticking their tongue out like that thing? It is like a natural instinct... boys are weird.

The Birthday Boy!

Image
He's NINE YEARS OLD NOW!!! He had a great birthday party - even if it was pretty small. His birthday is at the perfect time of the year for a pool party! He got a face full of birthday cake since his mama doesn't mind making a mess!

AHHH! - Another Lego Project

Image
Bryan got TWO new 1300+ piece Lego projects to work on. He decided to work first on the one sent for his Birthday by Grammy and Papi. It is a transport ship from Star Wars. I think he has finally learned to take is slow and enjoy the process. Thank goodness! It was a little frustrating for us to watch him speed through the big projects in EIGHT hours!

See?

Here is my baby boy again. I have a feeling that I am going to have to really look hard for these moments very soon....

HOLD THE PHONE!!!

Image
He so does not look like a three year old in this picture. There are days like this one that he looks way older! Where did my itty bitty baby go?

First Day of Third Grade!

Image
I was really upset that I didn't get my usual picture of him walking up to school, but I did get this one before we left the house. He was super excited about going to the 3rd grade, especially since meeting his new teacher. Mrs Parrish is really sweet, excited, bubbly and pretty. Bryan really wants to impress her and show her how smart he is. He was just as excited when he got home from that first day! He has been in school now a little over a month now and with the exception of just a couple of poorly thought out choices, Bryan has been making a pretty good impression and she thinks of him as responsible and very intelligent. I am so happy about that - just say a prayer that is lasts all year long.
