Test Run

Image
We took the boys to the park the other day to test my new super-duper-the-boys-can't-spot-me-now camera lense. I had a blast! I still need to practice on focus, but I still think these pictures rock! And of course, any excuse to go to the park is OK with the boys!

Room With A View

Can you hear the ocean? It was so pretty and soothing. All we had to do was step out onto the patio. This was, by far, the best part of the whole trip.

Spring in Florida

Image
It was such a nice day. The temp. was in the low 70's, the sun was out, it was an altogether beautiful spring day. We were out walking around a little shopping center close to the hotel and came across this little cafe. We had a really nice lunch and enjoyed our favorite past-time...people watching.

Why?

I don't quite get it... This is the potty at the Ritz Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale. Is there a high demand for phones next to the comode?

Nope.... You aren't seeing things

He fought it, he didn't want to do, it was only for me....but he looked so handsome! It is the very first time I have ever seen Brandon in a coat and tie. If he has his way, Brandon will never do it again. If I have my way, it will be the first of many!

Toothless..

Image
I let him go away for a whole week with his Grandparents for Spring Break. He had a great time at Holly Lake Ranch! The very second night he was gone he calls and tells me he's lost his first tooth!!!! His very first tooth and I'm not there! And he was upset about it and I couldn't be there to hug him and tell him it was alright. The next night when he calls he tells me he lost ANOTHER tooth. Except this time he's not upset since the night before he had recieved a visit from the tooth fairy. Hmmmm....coincidence that he lost the second one?

He's Got a Lot of Fight in Him!

I finally got to watch Bryan spar in person. He did an awesome job! I know it annoyed the assistant instructor that I was taking pictures, but I did ask Master Kim before hand. Besides, I have to take pictures for Papi! I am so proud of Bryan. He is really learning and was very into it! He drove his sparring partner off the matt completely several times and frustrated him enough that the other kid pushed Bryan down. He was tired of getting kicked. I know we aren't supposed to egg one kid on from the other, but it took every ounce of control I had to keep from cheering Bryan on! So...Papi, here are the fruits of Bryan's labor. He loves Tae Kwan Do so much and it has become something he is really proud of!

Ready to Spar

We just bought Bryan's sparring gear on Thursday. He's been driving me nuts..."When do I get my sparring gear?" "I am a yellow belt now" "Have I been good enough at school?" He posed for me that very night. I was terribly dissapointed that I had to miss his first Friday night sparring session. I was stuck at work! UGH! But I heard all about it when I got home. He was the only yellow belt there, so Master Kim had him go up against an ORANGE belt. Bryan was so proud. I wish I been there to see how he did. Of course it doesn't matter. He had a great time!
