President George Bush's House

Image
Bryan really wanted to go see "President George Bush's House" when we went out sightseeing with Papi the day after we arrived to DC. He was very excited about it and couldn't wait to tell his friends that he saw where the president lived. Bryan also insisted that not only do we go see the Washington Monument, but we go up in it. I'll be honest, I had no idea that you could even go up there and I wasn't to thrilled about the height or the hassel. I'm glad we did though. We got to see the gorgeous landscape and some really neat bricks on the inside dedicated by different groups and states. Bryan reminded me that some things are worth the hassel and I really need to learn to lighten up... I had such a good time just watching Papi and Bryan walking and talking together - even if at times it was more like snapping...

Big Bad Green Belt!

Image
Bryan tested for his green belt the night before we left on our trip to D.C. He did it all by himself in front of the whole class. I have been so busy lately that I haven't been able to stay and watch his classes, so I didn't really know how we he would do. I was amazed! He did everything right, answered all of his questions and knew all of the commands! I was so proud and happy for him! This last Moday after we got back from our trip he received his certificate and green belt from Master Kim!!

When did I get a life?

Image
Oh wait... I still don't have a life, I am just busy. It has been fairly chaotic around our house lately. Lots of projects going on, a couple of colds, getting ready for Grammy and Papi to come to town and a visit of our own to Washington D.C. It's all been pretty fun and very tiring. So... here is the latest enstallment of photos. The boys had a blast on Halloween, as usual. We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's for dinner and trick-or-treating. It was odd, but I remember seeing a lot of kids this year NOT dressed up... Oh and we got a great gift from Great Grandma Beverly - a beautiful one of a kind Beverly painting!

One Little Monkey? - No THREE!

Image
I am so tired right now... I would love to say something significant about these photos taken just in our front yard, but I am so tired. I really like the way they turned out - let's just leave it at that.... Night-night! :P

The Punkin Patch

Image
We went only because I love the pictures that I always manage to get there. We didn't stay long - Bryan wasn't feeling that well, so we decided to make it a short trip this year. Bryan tends to get sick around events or happenings. At least it wasn't his birthday this year!

Pretty!!!

Have I told you how much I LOVE my patio set? I am out there all of the time now!

Fall Camp Out

Image
The camp site looked good - I didn't get to go, but from the look and sound of things, they had a lot of fun! Bryan even got to take part in a flag retirement ceremony.

Captain Jack Sparrow!

Image
FINALLY!! It arrived WAY late! At least it came in time for Halloween. Bryan looks soooo darn funny with facial hair and long hair! He thought he looked like a dork! - but what is the point of dressing up if you can't laugh at yourself?!

Stubborn!

Image
I know that I tucked him into bed! But he just did not want to go to sleep yet - so he sat in his chair watching Harry Potter! Surely that was supposed to keep him awake!

And what was Joshua doing?

Image
He was off in his own world - perfectly happy to be Super Man instead of a pirate!

Bryan's very late birthday party...

Image
We finally had a birthday party for Bryan on Oct 1st - It was a little late, but it turned out great! Since we are in TX and it was still hot - we had a pool party and it was a great success! This was Bryan's first "real" party and I think I was more nervous about it than he was. There was no need though - Bryan had a lot of fun and all the work was well worth it! OH! and since Bryan's pirate costume didn't make it in time, he ended up wearing Joshua's costume! LOL! Good thing they are close in sizes!

Their new hats...

Image
We found these nifty hats at the air show and bought them for the boys and one for Brandon. It was hotter than the seventh level of hell that day and the hats worked wonders! So much for fall weather! UGH! Gotta love Texas - it's either hot or hotter! We have used the hats several times since then - I consider them a great buy!

Is This an Air Show?

Image
We took Bryan to the Alliance Air Show as part of his birthday celebrations... I was expecting the usual all things planes - maybe some recruiters, but this year there were all kinds of bounce houses, a couple of games and Playstation even had a set up there. Bryan tried the rock climbing first and then went to this bouncy thing, where he ran into his buddy from school. So, we let him cut and stand in line with us (ssshhhh - don't tell anyone). They had a great time visiting while in line.

Three days!

Image
Three days is all it took for Bryan to put this HUGE Lego Star Wars Tank Thingy-Magigy together! He just amazes me -ya and they told me last year that he had trouble focusing on anything - HA! He loves those Legos... No one helps him, most of the time he runs off as soon as he gets then so he can open them and put them together as fast as he can. Hmmmm....Maybe he build some record-breaking Lego something...
